Mrs. Agnes M. Nyamu-Mwamisi, Kenya
October 2011
My name is Mrs. Agnes Mumbua N-Mwamisi and I am a 63 year old Kenyan farmer by profession. I started experiencing pain in my right knee way back in 1992.
In early 2004, a doctor informed me that there was a project by some American orthopedic doctors to assist Kenyans with arthritis. They operated hundreds of Kenyans alongside some Kenyan doctors who were bone specialists, and my doctor was among them. Thus, I had my first Knee Replacement surgery in August 2004 at Kenyatta National Referral Hospital. In 2006, I started experiencing intense pain again, and I was back to taking pain killers again, and applying some ointments on the leg every night before I slept. After the pain got worse, I went back to the doctor who had performed the operation. He took an X-ray and informed me that the implant was collapsing. I was devastated by this news.
In early 2008, I met an orthopedic surgeon who is renowned and had performed numerous operations on other patients in Kenya. After looking at my x-rays, he confirmed that indeed the implant was sinking and damaging the knee further because it was not the right size and type. He recommended a repeat surgery to remove the damaged one and replace it with a different type of implant. The operation was going to be a lot more costly than the first one but my family and I were determined to get the best treatment possible and as soon as possible.
So in April 2009 I underwent a second operation on my right knee. I recovered slowly from the second operation and resumed my normal duties back in my farm. Not long after the operation, I started experiencing the worst pain ever since the problem started. At the start of 2010, I realized that my right knee was getting deformed and there was additional and severe pain on the left ankle as well. I started limping seriously and had to be dependent on pain killers every day (morning and evening). By the end of the year, the knee was completely deformed.
We were referred by friends to a missionary doctor working at the Kijabe AIC Mission Hospital. He told us that I needed to undergo a third operation as soon as possible to avoid further damage to the leg, which by this time had become shortened. He recommended that the specialized revision surgery should be done in a place with specialized facilities and expertise with this kind of complications in arthritis. He recommended we find a hospital either in USA, United Kingdom, South Africa or India.
One of my daughters went on the internet to try and get more information about the health facilities that had been recommended in India. To our greatest relief, Dr. Mody responded promptly to our email.
On the 8th May after Dr. Mody saw my X-rays and examined me in person, he recommended Revision Knee replacement surgery on the right knee and Total Knee replacement on the left knee as it was also arthritic. The cost was quite affordable by normal standards, and the family decided to fundraise. Thank God we got an overwhelming response from the extended family and friends and were able to raise the required funds in about 4 weeks.
I travelled to India in late June 2011 with my daughter Irene. The operation was carried out in two phases both in early July and it was a success. Almost immediately I started the physiotherapy sessions at Welcare. I was at the hospital until 3rd August 2011 when I returned back to Kenya- by which time I was walking well and my leg was completely straight. I have continued with physiotherapy here in Kenya and I am getting better each day, I am no longer dependent on pain killers. I travelled back to the farm to resume normal life. I am very happy with the quality of care and support I received from Dr. Mody and his team of doctors, physiotherapists and nursing staff. They were all fantastic, friendly and were always positive and encouraging. I cannot forget to mention the great support from the administration. It was truly a pleasant experience.
Thank you so very much for making our stay at Welcare Hospital memorable. May God bless you and always give you the enthusiasm to help as many people as you did for us!

Mahamoudou Manakounou (North Carolina, USA)
7th February 2011
My name is Mahamoudou Manakounou. I am a 46 years old male of African descent. I have been living in the US since 1995. I had sustained a left knee injury on the job in America in 2009. I did have surgery to repair a total tear of my quadriceps tendon. The surgery was not successful because the range of motion was only limited to 70-75 degrees after physiotherapy. I was then advised by the surgeon to undergo another surgery to correct the problem. However, to cut a long story short, I was fed up with the gimmicks of the work compensation system in the US; so I decided to find a solution to my problem.
Medical tourism was my answer from God. Just remember one thing: you always have a choice when it comes to your health. Never let anyone tell you what you have to do. Please, listen to different points of view but never let anyone make decisions for you. Before I came to Dr Mody’s clinic, I could not walk properly. I was dragging my left foot because I could not bend my knee enough. Now, 8 days after surgery with Dr Mody, I can walk properly without any pain whatsoever. I am working hard in physical therapy right now to increase the range of motion so I could get back on my mountain bike.
I would like to thank God, Dr Bharat Mody and Dr Harshida Mody for giving me the chance to be active again in the life of my little kids. The whole team at the Welcare Hospital in Baroda is absolutely unbelievable. Dr Mody’s team is the embodiment of what care is really about. When I decided to travel alone to Baroda, India for the surgery, my family and friends were all worried. I came here alone from the US but I have never felt alone here at Dr Mody’s hospital not even for a second. My expectations were surpassed 1000%. I was taken care of like a baby. Dr Mody and his staff are not only medical experts but they are the finest human beings I have encountered in my life. On top of all that, the cost of the treatment including the air ticket, hotel and food cost is still a fraction of what you can expect from the US, Canada or Europe. I will be returning to the US soon God willing.
I would recommend Dr Mody’s hospital to anyone suffering from bone and joint related injuries and problems. Anyone who needs more information about my experience can please contact Dr Mody for my phone number in the US. In the future, I would not hesitate one second to come back to this hospital for care. I could not finish this testimonial without mentioning how amazing Indian people in general are and how wonderful the healthy vegetarian food is. I have lost 8 of my extra pounds already without even trying. Make up your mind, pack up and get your health back!

Mrs. Wendy Kherlopian (South Africa)
Wendy and her husband relaxing with Dr. Mody. I am a 47 year-old rheumatoid arthritis patient and had extensive damage to my left knee, forcing me to walk with a walking stick even in my own home. After being advised that I needed a total knee replacement, I made a booking for surgery in South Africa. The cost of this surgery was going to be very expensive. A week later, I met someone who recommended Dr. Mody and his Centre for Knee Surgery at Welcare Hospital, in Baroda, India. After doing thorough research, I made the decision to cancel the surgery in South Africa, and head off to India for the procedure.
I could not have made a better decision. Dr. Mody gave me so much confidence by taking time to describe my problem and give a detailed explanation of the surgery. The surgery was a huge success, with my being able to walk unaided within 9 days of the surgery, even going into town to do a little shopping. One month later, I am home and walking, climbing stairs and getting in and out of a chair with no difficulty at all. I am even able to sit cross-legged on the bed or sofa. Everyone who knows me is astounded. I actually feel 20 years younger!
As for the medical services, I have nothing but compliments. The founding surgeon of Centre for Knee Surgery, Dr. Bharat Mody, together with his team of surgeons, nursing staff and physiotherapists, as well as his wife Dr. Harshida, are the most dedicated medical team I have ever experienced. They took it upon themselves to see to it that every aspect of my recovery was a success. They received my husband and I with warmth, hospitality and total professionalism. This is what made our medical trip to India (a country we had never visited before) so much easier. Our private accommodation in the hospital was of a high standard, as was the food and nursing care.
This surgery has exceeded all my expectations and if I were to ever need my right knee replaced, it’s Dr. Bharat Mody who is going to do it!
Thank you, and God Bless! |

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, Fiji Islands
Mr. & Mrs. Rabuka during post operative
rehabilitaion with Dr. Mody
I first heard about the Welcare Hospital from friends in Fiji, particularly Thakorbhai Patel of Toorak, Suva, whose wife had bilateral knee replacement in 2005. Himmat Lodhia of Lords Jewelers introduced me to these former patients and I am forever grateful to him and the former patients of the Centre.
What my wife and I experienced from the time we landed at the airport, and for the whole period of our stay in the centre, far exceeded all we had been told in Fiji.
The medical staff and the ward staff were extremely professional and friendly. The ward is very well laid-out and the reception area very neat, professionally arranged with a homely atmosphere - thanks to Mrs. Harshida Mody's influence.
Dr. Bharat S. Mody is truly a professional man who is a credit to his field of specialty. It has been a real pleasure and honor to have trusted my life with him and his staff.
I wish you all God's blessings.
Sitiveni Rabuka [

Dayo Akogun (Nigeria)
At the Welcare Hospital(Welcare Hospital), Welcare Hospital, Vadodara. My name is Dayo Akogun from Nigeria. I had an auto accident on the 13th of July, 2009 and sustained a closed fracture of the left humerus coupled with radial nerve injury and a closed injury of the left knee. MRI result of the left knee showed multiple ligament disruption (medial collateral, posterior cruciate, medial meniscus damage, anterior cruciate ligament tear) and fracture of the medial femoral condyle. I was counselled to explore arthroscopic surgery for the left knee abroad because it was not readily available locally.
Search For Treatment Abroad
I was given a referral letter to this effect and with the information in the letter I had to firstly go on the internet to educate myself about the kind of injuries and the recommended line of treatment. Having armed myself with necessary information, I began a personal and rigorous search for a competent hospital and a highly knowledgeable surgeon with proven capabilities since none was recommended to me. Moreover, I have also learnt by experience that I needed more than just a big and beautiful hospital complex with high-tech facilities. The profile and on-hand experience of the surgeon was as important too. These were the initial things that endeared me to Dr. Bharat Mody’s super-specialty Welcare Hospital, Welcare Hospital, Vadodara amongst several other hospitals I contacted in India. As a matter of fact, I spent several hours and days thoroughly studying the hospital’s website (not less than 11 times) and I was convinced that this must be the right surgeon and place.
Choice of Welcare Hospital, Vadodara
Apart from the impressive and convincing information on the centre’s website, I also discovered that of all the doctors I contacted via email, Dr. Bharat Mody had a better and thorough understanding of my case and a well laid-out treatment plan. Moreover, Dr. Harshida was very prompt in responding satisfactorily to all my enquiries thereby removing my initial doubts. She even went ahead to provide travel details, estimated expenses and assistance on how I could plan my trip to Vadodara. I was assured at every point that I shall be well taken care of. Having chosen Welcare Hospital, the Centre helped in facilitating the processing of our travel visas. Moreover, the cost of treatment was reasonable and also affordable for such a high level of medical expertise and excellence.
On Sunday August 30th, 2009 I arrived at the hospital in company of my dear wife. We were warmly received by the hospital staff and a team of doctors who deserve very high commendation for their thorough approach. This boosted my confidence greatly and made me feel I was in very safe hands.
On Monday 1st of September, Dr. Mody came into my room beaming with determination and unshaken confidence. He counseled me on what I was about to go through. Despite the fact that this was going to be my first surgery ever, his words were so re-assuring that my confidence was not only multiplied but I was also psychologically prepared for the surgeries ahead.
Subsequently, I underwent four surgeries over a period of two and half weeks. The post operative care was intensive and excellent. For about 7 weeks I was bed bound. Being a very mobile person, this was going to be a very challenging period for me because of the initial post surgery pains coupled with my inability to move around.
The Staff and Team at Welcare Hospital
During this period the Associate Orthopaedic surgeons proved to be thorough-breds in the field. They never left me in doubt for a moment. Other resident doctors were usually on hand to attend to every of my needs promptly. What impresses me most is their professional and well coordinated approach to my case. They were very thorough, leaving nothing to chance. The Physiotherapists were not only prompt and creative but just extraordinary. They taught me so many things which eventually contributed immensely to my quick recovery. The nurses were very cheerful and courteous. They were always creating a cheerful atmosphere around us. The admin people were fantastic, and were always going the extra mile for us. The ward servants were up and doing, ensuring my room was always kept clean and my personal needs were routinely met. The entire Welcare team is beyond comparison in terms of care and personalized service. These combined efforts helped to take away every trace of pain and boredom.
We were so well taken care of that we didn’t feel homesick. We even began to learn how to speak Gujarati. During my stay in the hospital, I was also able to conduct my business. Wi-Fi internet facility was provided right in my room so I could stay connected with my office back in Nigeria, clients and loved ones.
This period was also an opportunity for my wife to do a few medical check-ups for non-orthopedic related issues. Dr. Harshida was just on hand to render invaluable assistance. She recommended suitable doctors and clinics, got convenient appointments on her behalf and also arranged for a staff to accompany her to such places each time. This was a hassle-free experience.
Dr. Mody’s Prowess and Generosity
Undoubtedly, Welcare Hospital boasts of a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art facility under one roof and Dr. Mody’s medical prowess in dealing with my case was outstanding. He exhibited so much intelligence, accuracy and dedicated focus all through. He was caring and attentive. At every stage of my treatment, I was not kept in the dark for once but duly carried along. He loves his job and patients so much that he gives all his time and energy to both. Despite his very tight schedules, he still managed to give me his personal attention. For instance, during the Diwali festival, we were the only patients left in the entire hospital but he still finds time to come around to see us. This motivated and encouraged me greatly.
It is impossible for me to forget his kindness to me. He never took advantage of my predicament but rather took me like I was his brother.
On the 16th of November 2009, I was discharged and since I returned home, my rehabilitation has been fantastic. Dr. Mody has been following me up adequately. I have mailed him a couple of videos and photos and his comments are inspiring. In conclusion, I must not fail to thank the entire team for their kindness and the 5 star treatment we received. We cannot thank them enough. Our prayer is that God will abundantly bless Dr. Bharat & Harshida Mody and the entire team in Jesus name. On the new hospital project, we wish you all the best.
Please accept my best wishes and assurances.

Mary & Charles Oteto, Kenya
My wife Mary Oteto had Total Knee Replacement Operation between 26th and 30th August 2008 at the Centre for Knee Surgery, Vadodara, under the professional hands of Dr. Bharat Mody and his team. Having been to India in 1996 when I took my nephew for Open Heart Surgery at Madras Mission Hospital, my expectations and confidence was based on that experience when we travelled to Vadodara on 25th August 2008.Without any other information about the Centre apart from the address I got from the Indian High Commission in Nairobi, Kenya and the many correspondence with Dr. Harshida Mody, we travelled to your Centre with a lot of expectations.
After the meeting with you Dr. Bharat Mody, your wife Dr. Harshida Mody and your team of doctors and para-medical staff about two hours from our arrival, we immediately realised that we are in the right place as far as the treatment of my wife was concerned. The warm reception and assurance from you and your team gave the patient and I a lot of psychological confidence. Without reading any literature on your work, Mary was ready for the operation the following day. After the first successful operation done a day after our arrival, I was amazed that my wife was able to walk without any support on the fourth day. Thanks to your Physiotherapists.( Back home people walk with support for months after operation)I was even more amazed when after the second operation on the 5th day, my wife was able to walk without support within the subsequent 4 days, this was like a miracle .I attribute this to post operative handling by your entire team of doctors, para-medical staff and all the other workers that were very friendly and concerned regardless of the language barrier.
Your personal interest and concern and attention from your dear wife Dr. Harshida Mody and entire team and staff kept us going and made the recovery of Mary very fast. The concern and love continued when we moved to the hotel 13 days later. Dr. Bhavesh was very kind throughout his physiotherapy visits at the hotel. Without naming names we hold your team and staff in very high esteem. The pain my wife had before the operation, she was not ready for piecemeal operation. No doctor here was ready to undertake Bilateral Total Knee Replacement Operation in one admission. You assured us that this was possible and I can now testify with confidence on your expertise and advanced medical approach and have no hesitation to recommend and encourage our people with knee problems to take advantage of your services through your centre.
People who have come to see Mary could not believe that she is able to walk without support, and that she is able to climb stairs. In conclusion, on behalf of Mary, my family, those who made it possible for us to come to your Centre and I, we wish you, Dr. Harshida, your team of doctors, para-medical staff and the rest of your staff all the success in your future undertakings.
May God Bless you.

Thanks to Dr. Bharat Mody
My name is Jawahar Jagwani, and I live in Dubai.
Mr. Jagwani on holiday with his wife & sons
In 2007 when I met Dr. Bharat Mody for the first time in Baroda, my condition was very bad. I was 46 years old and suffered from Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. I couldn't walk or sit at all- I was almost bed-ridden! My Guru Jashbhai Sahibji recommended Dr. Bharat Mody's hospital because my guru has a lot of trust on Dr. Mody. When Dr. Mody saw my x-rays he told me that you need joint replacement surgery on both knees. My wife Monica asked Dr. whether I will be able to walk after surgery because we had shown so many doctors before that and they had said that there was no hope. Dr. Bharat gave her his guarantee and said that he was confident of getting me up on my feet. Same day I was admitted in his hospital and next day he did my one knee surgery and after 9 days he did the other knee surgery. I got excellent treatment with beautiful accommodation and well trained nurses and assistant doctors. Dr. Bharat had informed me that I may need Hip surgery too because my hips joints were also damaged due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. I came back to Dubai but I was not able to walk properly due to my hip pain. Dr. suggested that I should go for hip surgery. He subsequently did my bilateral hip replacement surgery too. After my knee and hip surgeries, I gradually recovered and became alright.
After 3 years I’m perfectly alright now. I can swim, dance and drive too. Thanks to my Guruji Jashbhai Saheb and Dr. Bharat Mody - they gave me a new life!

Mrs. Zubeida Al-Aidaroos, Yemen
My mother’s history with knee pain goes back to 1988 when we thought that a trip to Czechoslovakia for spa, mud treatment, and Chinese needles may help to cure her soreness. But after a month stay at the hospital we came back without tangible results.
She had always been looking for a way to avoid operation. Hence, travelled in 2007 to Jordan and in July 2008, we flew to the Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok in the hopes of avoiding surgery. In June 2009, we established communication with a hospital in Germany, and were advised that initial X-ray diagnosis revealed the need for total knee replacement. A decision was made to fly to Germany and carry out the operation as we had exhausted all our shopping around for another solution.
In July 2009, before taking off to Germany, we were advised by an Indian friend to get the surgery done in India by Dr. Bharat Mody. Few telephone calls and I found myself in new thoughts. I flew to Baroda to meet with Dr. Bharat Mody and listened to his analysis, inspecting the hospital, and the city. Finally, I made up my mind that Dr. Mody is close to my inner hunch, as I always believe in following my heart, even after consulting others, and regardless of their final say.
The knee replacement surgery was finally done on 8th July 2009. We stayed in Baroda for a month after surgery and the doctors and nursing team were our family and friends. Dr. Mody and his team were very reassuring with their smile and kind words that helped to keep the momentum.
Now my mother is back in Yemen and is very happy to be independently walking and managing her activities of daily living. We hold a great piece of gratitude in our hearts for Dr. Mody and his team of doctors and physiotherapists, that will remain for all time to come.

I had been suffering great pains in both of my knees for more than 10 years. My mobility was very limited, and even when I needed to move I had to wrap crepe bandages and take the pain killers. My son had been insisting on me to have treatment but I was very reluctant thinking the surgery may complicate the matter and make my situation worse.
Your centre was recommended to me by my very close friend who had his wife’s operation at your centre, but I was still very skeptical to have a surgery. My son, Mustafa, managed to visit your website and found more information including testimonials from other patients who underwent surgery at your centre. After reading the materials and from the pressure from my wife and children, I decided to give in and asked Mustafa to communicate to your centre for further arrangements.
Dr. Harshida was very prompt to respond to our questions and provided details and guidance on how we could plan our trip and also assured us that we would be taken care as soon as we arrive at Vadodara. This is a very positive point for your centre
On arrival, we were received very well by your staff and felt that we were in good hands. We were very much impressed with your Centre and the professional manner in which you diagnosed me and advised what I would expect to go through. This increased my confidence and made much easier to adjust myself psychologically, ready for the surgery.
Both pre and post surgery care was excellent and I must thank Dr. Harshida and staffs for the kind words of encouragement which I believe aided a lot towards my steady recovery, nor can I miss to thank you, Dr. Mody, for your personal attention you had given to my case despite your busy schedule. I performed the exercises given religiously every day. I can now walk without any supports and my confidence has grown.

All I want to say is that this surgery has changed my outlook to life; I have become a different person all together. The development in the science and technology and especially Dr. Mody’s special techniques has made this possible that I can do things which I thought I would never ever be able to do for the rest of my life!
Dr. Mody, I must thank you and your team for all the support and assistance you provided to us all the way. I will readily recommend your centre 100% for anyone who has to undergo joint replacement.

Dear Dr. Bharat Mody
Mrs. de Souza with dr.Bharat mody
After a brief stay in Mumbai we arrived home safely in Nairobi. It was my intention to write to you immediately but due to unavoidable circumstances I was unable to deal with correspondence and I sincerely apologize for the delay.
I trust you are all well at Welcare Hospital. I take this opportunity to thank you both, together with your team of young and talented doctors for a very successful operation. As a result, the quality of my life has changed tremendously. Presently I am able to walk with an upright posture with the help of the tripod stick. Hopefully, in the near future, I will walk without it.
Since our arrival in Nairobi, we have received lots of visitors and they were simply amazed to see me walking and cannot believe how well I recovered and in such a short period of time as most of them were aware of my condition prior to leaving for Vadodara. They have concluded that this is a miracle. Yes, I endorse this statement; as we all know that God works in mysterious ways. Out of the blues, we received some encouraging information through the Internet about The Welcare Hospital. Having read your informative material thoroughly, it was so impressive and moreover answered all my questions and doubts. Ultimately I was able to make an immediate decision. To date we have no regrets at all to have come to Vadodara; on the contrary we have pleasant memories of our stay there.
From the day we arrived at your Clinic we were received with such warmth and hospitality by you and your team of doctors, your charming wife Dr. Harshida, and your petit nursing staff who made me feels so much at home. You, Dr. Mody, and your assistant doctors, worked so hard and with such dedication to ensure the success of my knee surgery prior to the operation and the after care. A special word of thanks to Dr. Shrish Mishra, whose words of encouragement and caring attitude made me feel so confident and assisted with quick recovery.
Your physiotherapist Dr. Achal Patel was excellent, at all times and who also assisted with my quick recovery. The result is obvious. My surgery was so successful that I am walking upright without any pain and most of all I feel great about myself. Keep up the wonderful work and how proud we are to observe the service you offer to all who need your expertise. Your nursing staff needs to be commended to the highest level. They were charming, hard working and served us with a smile at all times and so were the boys in blue who performed their duties so well.
Congratulations to you Dr. Mody and your wonderful and hardworking work force for the service you render to those who need you. We have recommended you to so many who have seen me and asked for your contact.
May God bless you all!

Mr. Keshwan Nair, Suva, Fiji
Keshwan Nair from Fiji with his family,
in the hospital
Welcare Hospital is definitely a medical boon for people having mobility problems. The service provided by the Centre is extremely commendable as Dr. Mody and his team has all necessary expertise for not only local but also NRI patients.
I brought my father for a Total Knee Replacement from Fiji, and despite the Indo-Fijians having their ancestral bond in India, we had no relatives here, which gave us second thoughts as to how we will adjust to the new environment due to this being our first visit to India. However, despite this, prior to our arrival, all arrangements were made very professionally and our stay at the Centre was really memorable as the entire team was always at our service making us feel comfortable. We were referred to the Centre from another patient (in Fiji), who has a successful knee replacement done here. In addition to this, the Centre's website also provided further know-how’s and patient referrals as well.
My father's mobility was almost none at the time we arrived at the Centre, however after the surgery he can walk perfectly well. Despite my father having pre-medical condition i.e. diabetes and high BP, the operation was carried out without any complications.
In Fiji, my father's operation was impossible as he had severe breathing problems and since both knees are replaced at once, and considering the duration of the operation, there was high possibility of losing him through General anesthesia. Dr. Mody's medical approach was quite accommodating of this as patients are given spinal anesthesia while both knees are replaced in a lapse of 4 days, giving patients time to respond to the replacement done.
With due respect to the above I have no hesitation in recommending the services of the Centre to people with knee problems in Fiji.
On behalf of my family, I wish Dr. Mody and his team all success in future endeavors. May god bless him for his wonderful expertise

I have been suffering with knee problems (both knees) for such a long time that I had given up hopes of any improvement in this lifetime. One year before I had surgery I had gone to an Ayurvedic center for treatment. This only gave me a temporary relief from painful legs.
In Baroda I went to see Dr. Bharat Mody for consultation. His examination and explanation was very thorough and detailed. He diagnosed the problem with confidence and recommended surgery on both legs at the same time (few days apart). I was very hesitant to go through the surgery out of fear and people were giving ' mixed messages'. Dr. Mody gave me confidence and assured 100% recovery and improvement after surgery. I agreed to get both knees done.
Before, during and after the surgery I received the best treatment you could expect from him as well as his well trained staff. This goes for all his patients without saying. Anyone who has knee problems will not regret to see Dr. Mody first.
Today I am 'kicking and running', thanks to Dr. Bharat Mody. Two months after the surgery I took a five country trip for three weeks to South America. It was a painless experience and the best trip I ever had having gone on similar trips to China, Africa, Middle East, Far East, Europe, Nepal as well as places within United States.

Manjulaben Shah from Mombasa
celebrating her birthday
I was operated for both my total knee replacments at Dr. Bharat S. Mody's CENTRE FOR KNEE & HIP SURGERY in December, 2003.
I have had the best treatment both pre and post operative at this modern Centre. Dr. Bharat Mody and his better half, Dr. Harshida Mody together with their entire team of very professionally and efficiently trained nursing and administrative staff had looked after me so well that I never felt homesick. I even had chance of celebrating my birthday with all at the Centre, including all patients and staff, who enjoyed such an occasion for the first time.
How can I forget in my life such an excellent centre with best doctors and staff? I would always recommend Dr. Bharat Mody's Welcare Hospital to all those who suffer knee ailments.
Best regards,

Dear Bharatbhai,
Shree Indrakant Patel of USA enjoys swimming regularly after knee replacement at Centre for Knee Surgery, Vadodara
The knee operation has given me a new life. Before the knee surgery I was not able to walk half a block and I was taking a lot of pain medicine. After the operation all the pain is gone. Now I walk for half an hour (about 2 miles) everyday. I do my bicycles for 30 minutes daily. I also am able to do my yoga exercises. I am really feeling great. I also swim on regular basis. My son Niraj says that dad you are going to live 100 years. I do not need any pain medication now.
Sorry doctor I was not able to see you when you were in Houston.

Dear Bharat Mody Sir,
This phase is very true for all of us. Getting my mother ready for such a major surgery was indeed an ‘Herculean’ task for all of us but the day she interacted with you, almost half of her worries vanished. I was so much worried about her pre-op and post-op care before coming to your hospital, but the way you ‘yourself’, your staff and all the young Doctors, working in the hospital took care of my mother, my worries turned into a pleasant surprise. The care provided by your hospital staff was so excellent that it has set a standard for me, which I wish to incorporate amongst my hospital and sisters. Your hospital management is indeed an inspirational one for me. The patient and the relatives are treated in such a way that they almost forget they are in a hospital. Infact my father, kept on referring your hospital as ‘Hotel’ which was indeed the comfort level provided by everybody to all of us.
The greatest comfort was provided by yourself to my mother. You made my mother absolutely relax during her stay. No words can express my gratitude for you in providing such an excellent care and atmosphere. You are a Great Brand Ambassador of Doctors to the patients through out the world.
Thank you very much.
Dr. Vivek Agrawal. [M.S.]
